OUR STORY

Founded in Hamburg in 2015 by sisters Imke von Johnston and Janka Oeljeschlager, Hey Honey was born from the idea of creating activewear that feels as good as it looks. Combining backgrounds in fashion and textile management with a passion for thoughtful design, they set out to redefine everyday activewear through premium quality, timeless style and exceptional comfort.

In 2017, their sister Tomma Oeljeschlager joined the business, bringing her expertise in marketing and brand communication. Together, the three sisters continue to shape Hey Honey as an independent family business with a clear vision: creating versatile pieces that move effortlessly from studio to street and fit seamlessly into modern, active lifestyles.

Today, together with a small and dedicated team based in Hamburg, Hey Honey designs elevated essentials that combine fashion, function and longevity—always with a personal touch and a commitment to lasting quality.

Founded in Hamburg by three sisters, Hey Honey has always been shaped by a personal vision: to create elevated essentials that blur the line between performance and everyday style. Inspired by a city known for its openness, movement and international spirit, every collection reflects a modern lifestyle that values versatility, confidence and ease.

Our designs are made to support every kind of movement—from Pilates, yoga and strength training to long walks, travel and everyday life. Rather than following short-lived trends, we focus on creating timeless silhouettes with a contemporary edge. Signature pieces, including our iconic Leo Prints and Surf Style Leggings, have become recognizable staples within the Hey Honey community.

Every fabric, fit and detail is carefully considered to deliver the perfect balance of fashion and function. We work exclusively with trusted manufacturing partners in Portugal and Turkey, many of whom we have collaborated with for years. Using premium materials—including Italian yarns, LENZING™ ECOVERO™ viscose and selected recycled fibres—we continuously strive to make thoughtful choices that support both quality and responsible production. Wherever possible, we use recycled materials certified according to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

Creating fewer, better pieces has always been at the heart of Hey Honey. Designed with longevity in mind, our collections are made to be worn, loved and lived in—season after season.
